**Tintown Shiba Inus**

Welcome! Come in and find your best friend!!

Our past puppies

This is Diana and her mom, she made the long drive from NJ to get her new boy Mika. Diana is a wonderful owner, she spoils Mika rotten and sends me plenty of pictures! Mika is from Riku's litter.

This is Sheba, she is with Cindy and Jack up in MI. She looks just like her dad Riku.

Here is Riku. We placed him in a pet home all the way in WA, with the Bodry family. Riku produced beautiful puppies, but he went oversized so we placed him with a loving family.( I just spoke with the family on 9-2-08 and they have since moved to Arizona!! Riku has adjusted fine)Here is an email that I recently received...

We have gotten so many compliments on Riku.  We can't take him out of the house without someone stopping us and wanting to know what kind of dog he is.  We try not to spoil him, but we love him sooo much!  He has been the best addition to our family... better than we ever could have hoped.  :)  We have you to thank for that.
I will try to get some pictures together and email you a few.
Hope all is well with you and your family!

Love,
Patricia

Hey Stephanie,
Achilles is doing great!  He slept for most of the car ride back to Rockville, MD and he only needed one potty break.  He was very well behaved and the only time he cried was for about the first ten minutes of the car ride from Prospect to Pittsburgh.
He is basically already housebroken and he has only had one accident.  It was early this morning and he was yelping to get out of his cage.  It took me too long to get ready to go out and he couldn't hold it any more.  I caught him midway through and he stopped.  He then finished outside and pooped as well.  It was really more my fault than his, so he still has a perfect record in my mind.  He's already got this potty thing worked out though.  He cries when he needs to go when he's in his crate and he jumps or paws you when he needs to go outside of his crate.  We bought a bell and hung it from the door, so we're doing our best to teach him how to use that to notify us.
He really likes his crate and he takes most of his naps in it.  We don't force him to go in, but if he needs some convincing, one of those liver treats does the trick (if the squeaky bear doesn't work).  Since we started crate training him, he was only cried once for a total of 5 seconds.  He's such a good boy.   He likes to chew on his nylon bone, some of my old socks, an old hand towel and one of my old shoes.  The only thing that we've had to discipline him about is chewing on the metal threshold leading into the living room.  Once we picked up vinegar at the store, one spray on the muzzle from the water-vinegar mix stopped that pretty darn quickly.
He has been a superb addition to our little family and we are looking forward to watching him grow up.  Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to have this puppy in our lives and we will definitely send you more pictures and stories very shortly.  Joe

           Tango at 9 weeks

The puppy which we decided to name Tango is amazing!!!  The first night he was here he didn't cry in his creat not even once.  He still has yet to go to the bathroom in the house and he is absoutely wonderful!!!  We can't believe how well behaved he is.  He is so calm and reserved.  Of course he gets excited but for most part is calm.  I figured out that when he starts to pant he needs to potty and I take him out right away.  I can't tell you how wonderful we think he is!  We were talking yesterday about how pleased we were that we got him from such a great breeder.  I will never own another breed of dog again!  I am Shiba hooked!  I am still speechless.  He seems to listen and understand what I say.  He knows what No means I asked him to sit this morning and put a little pressure on his lower back and he sat right down.  His first bath went well he was a little scared but that is understandable.     We love him!               Danielle-

A big thank you to the Weisen's from www.crystalriveroutfitters.com for giving Rennie such a loving home! Rennie has those beautiful eyes just like his dad Tigger!

Hi Stephanie,
Sorry for the late response, it's been hectic trying to get everything ready before the trip to California. Axel's been amazing! Wow, every morning I take him for a walk, there are always people stopping us and asking what kind of dog he is! I'm leaving him with family for the time being until I get back; everyone's been so impressed with him!
You did a great job with him, very impressive. His trip to Maryland was a pleasant one; I can't believe he didn't even have a single accident on the drive back to Maryland! He only cried for the first ten minutes of the ride, but sat quietly afterwards. Also, it's amazing that he was practically house-trained when I got him. He's only had a few accidents in the house, but only little puddles every once in a while. He's always done his bigger business outside. Other than that he's also super social, he's the most well-behaved and playful dog that I've ever had.
I'm so happy that I met you guys. Thanks for being so kind and informative all the way along. You have a great family. Everyone's so nice. I took Axel to the vet Monday before I left and he's doing great. I'll make sure I keep you guys posted with pictures and all as he gets older once I get back!
Thanks again for the wonderful dog and great experience,
Matt

This is Jin at 7 months old, he lives with a wonderful family in Canton, Ohio. Jin is a Patty X Tigger puppy. He is a wonderful blend of the two lines. Here is a recent letter from the family.

Hi Stephanie,

It’s been a while since I sent you any pictures of Jin. Jin is now 7 months old. He is really developing into a great dog. We have taught him to sit, lay, shake, and roll over.

He is doing sooo much better with his baths. He just stands there and lets us get him all clean. He loved trick or treating. He helped us pass out candy and he was so well behaved. Everyone loved him and wanted to know what type of dog he was. Everyone thought he was beautiful.

Jin loves to pick fights with me. He will pick at and bark at me and he loves when we wrestle with each other. His favorite game would probably be catch. He loves to catch the ball in the air and bring the ball back. He also loves to go on walks around the neighborhood.

He is really a good dog and we are so glad to have him. Please see the attached pictures to see how he is developing.

Thanks.

4-30-10 Mochi with her new best friend...(SoraXPolani girl)

Hi Abel family!

We had such a great time w/ you guys at dinner and the house, we really want to thank you for all your kindness, you're all awesome. :)
Well, our little "Mochers" is an absolute doll. Brian held her the entire time on our way home to gma's house:) Mochi slept through the night in her crate at gma's! You were right! I'll be darned. :) She woke up at 5:30, went potty, played a little bit, then about 6:30 went back to sleep w/ "pink" her dog toy from your house.
Saturday we left my mom's about noon. I set up the crate so that the door was propped open for her to come and go from Brian and that seemed to work out really well. The ONLY problem we had on the ride home was that she did do a tiny bit of throw up the first hour into the drive, but after that she was ok. Boy you were right about the drooling too! :) Brian was like "she is soaked mom!", he kept wiping her mouth down w/ a towel. :) That was so strange to me because she wasn't drinking enough water for her to have that much saliva!
We got to our house about 4. I had called earlier to tell Ted and Katherine our plans for introducing them all to her slowly and that went BETTER than expected. The dogs came out 1 at a time after Brian and I let her walk the back yard for awhile. No one barked at her once! :) The funniest thing, which turns out to be my biggest job, was that Mya,our Husky, wanted sooooo badly to play w/ her right away because she saw how spunky Mochi was running in the yard. Mya was zooming around the yard excited and it frightened Mochi. She was like "What are you?". Inside the house Mya follows her around like a shadow. Give her a break girlfriend. :) I keep forgetting that she is like a 7 yr old to us, so that explains it I guess. Feeding at the "puppy station" went pretty well. Butters was the only hold out w/ her food, too nervous.
Today was just more of the same, just progressing w/ the introductions and teaching her the house. No accidents so far! :) Mochi really is a dream, we are blessed. :) Tomorrow she will start her first day of "school" w/ only me in the house. Wish me luck!
That's all to report for right now. I hope it puts your minds at ease w/ any concerns for her. We will send pics often. Have fun raising your new babies, and thanks again for everything, honestly, from our hearts, a huge thank you. :) Kathy
